United Colors Of Benetton Coat

This season for me was all about coats. I can not, I repeat can NOT pass up a great coat at a thrift store. Its a problem, one which I should probably seek help for. But, until I do get help. I will continue to find and buy these amazing coats. This one is a United Colors of Benetton coat which I found at the Goodwill. It is practically brand new! I don't know who gave it up but I thank them for it. I love the color and the wool is some of the softest I have ever felt. I paired it with a thrifted turtle neck poncho. for a warm and wearable look :)

Great Outfit-Terrible Lighting

So sorry about the bad lighting and weird shadows in some of these pics. That is what happens when you accidentally drop your best lens from a great height. Its totally broken but its impossible to take shots in doors with the other lens due to the limited size of the apartment (meaning you can't stand far enough away to get a whole body shot). And when my photog came home it was too dark to do out door shots and I really loved this outfit. So I decided to do a few in doors even if they would be sub par and have weird effects.
On another note, I loved how comfy this combo of sweater tights and denim dress where. Throw a sweater on and you are good to go. These work boots are amazingly warm and wearable too. The heel height isn't too much for actual walking.

Orange Excitement

I wanted to do a quick post with some old pics that are actually from October. And what color is better for the month of October than a really bright orange. I love this pashmina. I don't know where I got it but I continually pull it out year after year to add color to a dull drum outfit. These pics were taken on a very very windy day so please excuse the somewhat uncooperative hair. The trench coat was an AMAZING Goodwill find. Its Banana Republic and I got it for $20. I LOVE that!! I love coats/jackets that are thrifted. Its a super bonus that its a trench (classic, love) and that it's in a color I didn't already have (a feat considering how many I am acquiring). Can't wait until after Christmas when everyone donates their "old" coats which have been replaced with new ones that they got as gifts. That will be like my second Christmas. YEAH, can't wait!

Bow Head-Bandit

Sorry for the long absence as of late. I have been dutifully studying for the first Step of my medical licensing exams. Other wise known as the USMLE, Step 1. Its pretty much the most important test of my life, so no pressure really (heavy on the sarcasm). But I take it soon and then it will be non stop blogging delight. Well, at least until I start a clinical rotation.. :) On another note. I do happen to love a good head band (you know the kind that don't squeeze your head too much). I came across this little beauty at Forever 21 and when I saw that it was only $1.50, I knew I couldn't resist. I paired it with a new fetish of mine, riding pants. Added in some knits in various neutral tones. And topped it all off with of course a cherry (thats the pinkish bag). Wow I just made myself hungry for an ice cream sunday.

Sweatshirt Casual

One of my favorite colors to wear is grey. And its only made better when its a grey sweatshirt. I wore this to study in a few days ago. I wanted to be comfortable but not to look sloppy. Mission accomplished, at least I think so. I certainly was comfortable and the converse gave the look a playful feel. I found this pair of kids converse at the Goodwill. I had been lusting after a white high top pair and was holding out until I could visit an outlet store. But then I found these and they were just missing a pair of laces. Which was a cheap and easy fix. I just hate how white the laces are, I can't wait to get them dirty and break them in.

White T- OP for Walmart
Jeans- Forever 21
Sneakers- Converse, thrifted

Red Hots

I feel in love with these skinny jeans after I saw them here and I haven't been able to get them out of my head since. I knew they were from Zara and so I began to scour the city looking for them. After many weeks of hunting I luckily came across them just when I had given up hope! I was meant to have them I think.
It was so sunny when I wore these and that made the red even brighter! Can't wait to wear them all winter long to brighten up any dreary day. I paired these babies with an H & M sweater and a trench. But that is just one option and I plan on wearing them with many other things. They are actually more versatile than you would think. More looks to come for sure.
