Red Toggle Coat

This red coat is one of my first purchases at an H&M way back in 2006. I got it on my second ever trip to NYC. I thought it was great and the price just sweetened the deal. I think the tomato color is great, never mind the fact that when I wore it at the airport leaving NYC that the man taking my luggage said "who that's a lot of red". Although I was sort of embarrassed at the time. I now wear it pride! This was the last pic was taken prior to my mom and I coloring my hair on our own at home. I so LOVE the result by the way. Thanks again mom :)

Wearing:
Coat- H&M
Sweater- borrowed from mom
Skirt- Thrifted
Tights & Booties- Target
Necklace- Forever 21
Bag- Canal Street

  1. LOVE! Those thick tights and short boots are unexpected (as in: I would not expect myself to come up with that =) and great. And just as impressive as that red coat are your bold red lips! I've been really crazy for wearing red lipstick lately (it's a brand new fascination), so I'm always keen to see it look so nice on someone else. Bravo, bravo.

  2. Outfit is beautiful. Any thoughts about wearing taller boots with that (unbelievably cute) short skirt?

  5. I feel I must explain my pairing of these boots. First off, I actually post looks I wear (Meaning if I am going somewhere I need to walk I don't wear 6 inch heels). And I was home visiting the fam and thus I didn't take my whole wardrobe with me. So I happened upon these boots while home and wanted to wear them to go study in because they don't have a high heel and I would actually be able to walk with a back pack on. Looking back they do seem an odd choice but at the time I was sort of happy in them. It happens I guess. Wear it then regret it post photo.
